Soldering 101

Provides beginning soldering students or those new to the electronics industry with knowledge and hands-on skills for both through-hole and surface mount technologies. This course is appropriate for any level of soldering experience.

Description

Soldering 101 is an introductory course in accordance with IPC standards designed for individuals new to soldering or the electronics industry. It provides both knowledge and hands-on skills for through-hole and surface mount soldering technologies. The course includes classroom lectures, instructor demonstrations, and real-time feedback. Students have the opportunity to solder components onto a functioning PCB to create a working project, teaching them the basics of hand soldering for both through-hole and SMT components.

What sets the BEST intro soldering kit apart is that it includes both through-hole and SMT components on a mixed technology board, mirroring real-life industry scenarios. This allows students to learn patience soldering components connected to a ground plane, along with components in close proximity to each other. Additionally, completing the course results in a functional "decision-making" device with spinning LED lights.
