IPC-7711/7721 (CIT)

A 5-day, advanced course for anyone responsible for quality and reliability of reworked or repaired electronic assemblies. This is a train the trainer course.

Description

IPC 7711/7721 certification is for individuals who aim to deliver Certified IPC Application Specialist (CIS) training. IPC-7711/7721, known as the Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies standard, is widely recognized and provides industry-approved techniques for through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) rework, as well as land, conductor, and laminate repair. This certification equips professionals with the skills necessary to restore expensive electronic assemblies, reducing costs and waste associated with discarding flawed boards and assemblies.

The IPC 7711/21 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) course follows a train-the-trainer model, imparting technical guidelines from IPC-7711 & IPC-7721. Instructors certified by IPC receive the necessary instructional materials for conducting CIS training programs. This advanced course covers component rework and board-level repair, requiring prior experience. To earn certification, participants must identify quality differences for Class 3 products, demonstrate proficiency in various rework and replacement techniques, conduct IPC 7711 and 7721 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) courses proficiently, and achieve an overall score of 80% or better on both IPC open and closed book examinations.
