IPC-A-610 (CIT)

Based on the IPC-A-610, this course provides visual accept/reject criteria examples for all three classes of products. This is a train the trainer course.

Description

IPC-A-610 certification is for individuals aiming to deliver Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) training, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing product quality and reliability. IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies, is the widely recognized inspection standard in the electronics industry, serving as the authority for end-product acceptance criteria for various printed circuit assemblies. Ideal candidates for certification include trainers, quality supervisors with electronic assembly expertise, and engineering or manufacturing supervisors responsible for assembly.

The IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) course offers an in-depth review of the IPC-A-610 document and basic instructor skills. Successful completion allows trainers to accurately determine "acceptable/reject" criteria for class 1, 2, and 3 products based on IPC-A-610 requirements. Trainers who pass the written examinations become certified instructors by IPC and receive instructional materials for conducting the IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) course. The course doesn't cover hand soldering. To earn certification, participants must interpret class distinctions, reference IPC-A-610 standards for accept/reject decisions, conduct CIS courses proficiently, explain IPC terminology and definitions, and achieve an overall score of 80% or better on IPC written examinations.
